Yes, spring is finally here, and for everybody! I could have said the same thing back on January 12, but perhaps this would have created an uneasy feeling for those who live in snow country. This winter has been exceptional, usually San Francisco receives 12 inches of rain from January to March, and this year only 1.72 inch has beeb recorded. So, many trees and plants had flowers sooner than usual.
Here is a springtime picture, where you can see the first flowers that I bought this spring, and my second lettuce harvest, right off my patio gardening:
Let me talk about my new neighbors, that I nicknamed Fred and Délima (Délima is the French name of Wilma in the Flinstones). They very much like their new pied-à-terre and come here everyday. The only problem is that the employees try to scare them. They are polite, so they leave for a few minutes and then come back. Last weekend, they slept late beside the pool:
Here they lay by the pool, but often they sleep while standind on their feet, with their head underneath their wing, and I find this so cute!
Moreover, they are sociable. Monday they swam in the pool with kids until these kids got too close:
If you think that ducks make me gaga, you are absolutely right. Have you ever seen a 2 year-old boy getting all excited by the sight of a firefighter truck? Well, I react the same way when I see ducks, thanks to Dynamo Duck!
So, Happy Easter everybody!
